Ad Builder
Creating ads made easier for real estate agents
How can we help our real estate agents get in front of more home buyers?
In the wake of COVID-19, the way people buy houses and interact with real estate agents is constantly changing. Many people are less inclined to answer calls from unknown numbers and read marketing emails, so agents are struggling to get their face and brand out there to new clients. And with more millennials becoming homeowners, social media and online advertising is becoming increasingly important.
Helping users overcome their hurdles
Everyone wants to get into advertising across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. But many agents are discouraged from leveraging this opportunity because of the many hoops they have to jump through to get an ad posted on these platforms. We set out to create a solution to help less tech-savvy agents easily build and post ads while remaining within all legal boundaries.
Our goal was to create a product where users would connect to their social media platforms and then create ad campaigns that could run simultaneously across all of their platforms.
Breaking it down into bite-size pieces
One of the most important things to me as I began designs was presenting information and asking questions in an approachable way. Our product wouldn’t work if it was just as overwhelming as using Facebook to post an ad. But each platform has different requirements for their ads.
After some trial and error, we ended up taking inspiration from services like TurboTax that break down the process into clear steps, each with only one or two decisions to make. This approach was the most intuitive way for our target audience to navigate building an ad.
Fulfillment from solving user problems
Ad Builder has launched and our users are so happy with the product. It’s increased accessibility to running ads on social media, and it helps our agents feel like they have more options and different ways to find new leads.
We’re currently working on adding more platforms, improving the ad account setup experience, and finding more ways to help people refine their ad content.
